You can talk to the companion party and inspect his troops. You can trade troops back and forth this way. Then once you've taken his troops that you want, you can disband the party by going to the clan menu, going to the section with parties, select his party, and disband. If you own a fief his party will go to it, disband, and he'll wait there
The Digital Companion release for M&B II: Bannerlord is a free DLC for current PC owners of the game, as of 19.12.2022. If you’re buying the game after this point, it will cost $9.99 or €9.99, unless there’s a sale on (as there currently is a launch sale of 30% on PC, and 20% on console).
The Scout. The Surgeon. The Quartermaster. The Engineer. In Mount And Blade 2: Bannerlord, clan roles are roles that you can assign your companions to increase the effectiveness of your party. Each party you own or control has a total of four roles. At the beginning of a game, your main character is automatically assigned to take on all four roles.
The companion that's leading a party will see a different troop (and maybe prisoner) screen after a fight, so even if you choose to take all the troops the loser is offering, the companion's party might still have extra troops. DO NOT disband parties into castles, this will send the companions to a random city under your control and the units
On my current playthrough I've played for 1000 days and I've only had one companion die on Bannerlord settings. The only reason he died was because he was more of a trader rather than a fighter and I had him leading my infantry. ComfortablePie1594. • 1 yr. ago. Inside unlimited companion framework there is a "companion module" holotape, inside there is an option for "dismiss ineligable companions" i used this and it worked for me. it dismisses all but 1 i believe then you can recruit who you want after that. Edited June 13, 2020 by Zerglinged

AnandaTheDestroyer • 1 yr. ago. My understanding is that caravan number is only limited to how many companions/clan members you have (and are willing to send out), but that could have been a chat lie. I last made them as a rank 6 clans and made at least 9, but I actually don't know if it was restricted at lower ranks or how many more I could
Currently if they have higher speed then you do, they can be hard to catch to talk to lol. You can trap them against a town or cliff or something when that happens. Fixes Companion Party Control for 1.8.0Order companion led parties to follow you, go to a town, stay in a town, etc.
Summary: If you want to disband a caravan, the leader gets stuck on the map and isnt moving. i tried to go around this issue by releasing the companion from the clan. after that, the companion died ("disappeared"). How to Reproduce: create and disband the caravan
