Hi All, Is there anyone on here with good knowledge of the vacuum pump on the 1.0 Ecoboost? I changed the one way valve on mine, that feeds the turbo, because it had come apart (common issue) and when I removed it there was engine oil in the port coming from the vacuum pump. Is this normal? Or sh Im losing power every time i drive on motorway and it has a slight hill on it! it seems like 5th and 6th gear are completely irrelevant!! i can go from 80mph down to 55/60mph within seconds. ive replaced the vacuum pump valve as i was advised this would cure the problem but the problem is still there. i've noticed my fuel consumption has It goes from the vacuum pump (on the driver side of the engine), snakes around to the back of the block/intake manifold area with some hard lines and then comes up front to the turbo. If it still appears attached on the turbo, unplug it with the car idling and see if it's pulling vacuum. I’m wearing a GoPro chest mount. I have done a complete rebuild on the engine, which is still running smoothly, bought two second hand motors and out of three emerged one working as new motor. Yesterday while getting on the highway WOT the car simply lost power and noticed the car wasn’t boosting as if it was in limp mode, no misfire, no pop, no sign of anything just simply dropped all boost. No faults, checked all pipes and lines, nothing blew off. Boost solenoid and DV have connectors on them and sounds like the solenoid is JW1982. The 1.0 ECOboost has a vacuum operated wastegate that is powered by an engine driven vacuum pump and controlled by an electronic control valve.
